How it works
From market structure to journal entry.
Six steps, three tools, zero magic. The Scanner finds and grades setups, SophieSMC X executes the ones that survive the gates, and the Journal records everything for review. Here is the complete path a trade takes through the system.
Scanner
Reads structure, grades setups, publishes the plan
SophieSMC X
Executes the approved plan, manages the trade
Journal
Records every trade for review
The Scanner works standalone. X only acts on the Scanner's plan. The Journal only reads what happened.
The workflow
Six steps, in order
Follow a single setup from the moment structure forms to the moment it's written into your record.
1
ScannerM15 structure, with H4/H1 context
The Scanner reads the higher timeframes first: H4 and H1 feed the directional bias the FVG engine must respect. When both timeframes agree against a setup's direction, it never reaches you — a veto, not a gate to unlock. Structure votes — higher highs and higher lows versus their opposites — are counted from the chart's own swings.
2
ScannerThe FVG forms — then gets scored
A strict 3-candle fair value gap is detected on M15 and scored 0–100 across displacement, HTF bias, structure, premium-discount position, and liquidity. Below 60%, it never reaches you. Most candidates die here — that's the point.
3
ScannerM5 observes the tap — confirms or flips
M5 watches how price meets the box. A clean tap with rejection confirms the direction. If the box fails, gets retested, and rejects, the setup flips to an inverse FVG — same discipline, opposite direction. Lower timeframes cannot invent an iFVG on their own.
4
ScannerThe plan appears on the panel
Entry, safe stop loss, take profit, and a final risk-to-reward — validated in strict activation order. Below 0.70R: rejected. 0.70–0.99: normalized to exactly 1.0R. The dashboard reads WAIT, BUY, or SELL, and the coach panel explains the reasoning in plain language.
5
SophieSMC XX executes — and manages
Only with an approved plan: market entry with SL/TP exactly as published, spread and drift validation, one position maximum, a 60-minute cooldown after closes. Then a 50% partial at take profit with an ATR-trailing runner. Breakeven and aggressive automation stay off unless you turn them on.
6
JournalThe Journal records
X writes time, direction, entry, SL, TP, RR, profit, and notes to its journal CSV. The Journal reads that file — daily, weekly, monthly P/L and calendar review on the web — so every trade is reviewable, forever.
Honest limits
What Sophie will NOT do
The other half of 'how it works.' Every item here is something trading software commonly implies — and this product deliberately refuses to claim.
No guaranteed signals
SophieSMC publishes quality-scored plans and rejects weak ones. A plan is an analysis, not a promise — and WAIT is a legitimate, frequent answer.
No news feed in the Scanner
The Scanner has no economic-calendar or news feed — it won't warn you about an event. SophieSMC X, however, can veto new entries ±30 minutes around scheduled high-impact US news via the economic calendar. Check your own calendar for the rest.
No support/resistance prediction
Support and resistance scanning was deliberately removed. The product will not draw predicted zones or invent levels.
No gold-specific engine
The code has zero XAUUSD-specific logic. It is used by gold traders, but there is no 'gold-optimized' algorithm to sell you.
No artificial intelligence
Everything 'smart' in the product is deterministic MQL5 heuristics and a coach-phrase engine. No LLM, no external intelligence, no learning.
No hands-free income
X cannot trade without the Scanner, requires MT5 running with Algo Trading enabled, and automation does not remove risk. Set-and-forget income is not a thing this product offers.
Run it yourself on MT5.
The Scanner works standalone; add SophieSMC X when you want approved plans executed with discipline, and the Journal when you want every trade reviewable.
Trading involves substantial risk.
SophieSMC software is an analytical and trade-management tool, not financial advice. Past performance — of any trader, system, or backtest — does not guarantee future results. Never trade with money you cannot afford to lose.
